Navy Children, Chinmaya in semifinals

KOCHI: Navy Children (Kochi) and Chinmaya Vidyalaya (Vaduthala) posted contrasting wins on their way to the boys semifinals in the 16th Bhavan’s inter-school basketball tournament at the Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara, on Friday.

The scores:

Boys: quarterfinals: Navy Children, Kochi, bt Choice, Tripunithura, 43-18; Chinmaya, Vaduthala, bt Rajagiri PS, Kalamassery, 32-30. Pre-quarterfinals: Toc-H, Vytilla, bt St. Peter’s, Kadayiruppu, 34-16.

Girls: pre-quarterfinals: Rajagiri PS, Kalamassery, bt Vidyodaya, Thevakkal, 18-8; Cochin Refineries School, Ambalamugal, bt Chinmaya, Vadutahla, 19-6. — Principal Correspondent
