Alpha students to compete in international competition

Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: Students of the city-based Alpha College of Arts and Science will represent India in the international competition organised by Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) at Singapore.

A team of five students from that college will make a presentation on seaweed cultivation in villages at the SIFE World Cup contest to be held from October 1 to 3.

About 38,000 students from 1,500 universities in 47 countries would compete for the cup. Keshav Murugesh, chairman of the SIFE India Board, said that the organisation promotes free enterprise among students to create economic opportunities locally.
