“Proves the stringent norms being followed at BSES” NEW DELHI: Power distribution company BSES has announced that its meter testing laboratories at Savita Vihar and Pushp Vihar in the Capital have received the ISO seal of approval from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). The Board is a laboratory accreditation authority and part of the Union Government’s Science and Technology Department. “BSES meter testing laboratories received the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation from NABL after a long process involving stringent checks and audit of its meter testing lab processes and procedures. The audit covered the entire gamut and all aspects of meter testing including quality system, technical resources, environment, trained and experienced manpower and well-documented processes and procedures,” said the company. BSES Chief Executive Officer Arun Kanchan said: “There are only a handful of distribution utilities in India that have NABL accreditation. This accreditation once again proves the quality of stringent norms and benchmarks being followed at BSES.”
