Bajaj launches Platina motorbike

BANGALORE: Bajaj Auto on Wednesday launched its Platina 125 DTS motorbike to strengthen its presence in the 125 cc and above category. Company General Manager (Marketing) Amit Nandi said, “The 125 cc-plus category dominates the market with close to 64 per cent in volume sold and Bajaj has a 50 per cent market share.” The DTS technology, developed and patented in-house, was for measured fuel delivery, enhancing performance and improving fuel efficiency to above 100 km a litre, he explained. Platina was priced below Rs. 40,000 (ex-showroom). — Special Correspondent
