Public hearing on October 5

CHENNAI: The expert committee on Pallikaranai marsh will hold a public hearing from 9 a.m. onwards on October 5 in Thoraipakkam to ascertain the views of the residents of four villages — Seevaram, Pallikaranai, Thoraipakkam and Perungudi.

A press release issued here said that the committee convener, Sheela Rani Chunkath, and the Chennai Corporation Commissioner Rajesh Lakhoni would be present at the meeting.

The meeting would be held at ETL Infrastructure Services Ltd., IT Park, Pallavaram Thoraipakkm 200 Feet Road.

The committee has been appointed by the Madras High Court recently .

The committee has been directed to submit its report on various points of reference.
