“Make use of brigade patrol vehicles”

CHENNAI: Commissioner of Police R. Sekar has appealed to the people to make best use of the ‘Yellow Brigade’ and ‘Blue Brigade’ patrol vehicles deployed in the city.

In an official release, he said the vehicles were patrolling select routes in all the three zones.

Public grievances

Trained personnel would attend to public grievances on the spot.

Besides seeking police assistance by dialling ‘100’, public could also approach the ‘Yellow Brigade’ or ‘Blue Brigade’ by dialling 90031 30101 (Central Zone), 90031 30102 (South Zone), 90031 30104 (North Zone) and 90031 30103 (Traffic Police).

Information, if any, about the criminal activities and other issues requiring police attention could be forwarded or sent by SMS to these numbers.

The identities of the informers would be kept strictly confidential, Mr. Sekar added.
