Driver murdered

ZAHEERABAD: A lorry driver Bal Bhim (45), native of Basavaklyan in Karnataka was murdered by unidentified persons late on Tuesday night. They also made an attempt on the life of another driver Maruthi, native a Bidar, who escaped. According to the police, two persons approached Maruthi at Mannekkali village seeking to be dropped at Hyderabad. Bhim was asleep in the cabin then.

At around 12.30 a.m., they tried to stab Maruthi. He, however, escaped and approached nearby villagers. By the time they returned, Bhim’s body was found with stab injuries. – Staff Reporter
