Rein in Sangh Parivar, demands JD(U)

Special Correspondent

BANGALORE: The State leadership of Janata Dal (United) has asked the Bharatiya Janata Party, its ally in the National Democratic Alliance, to rein in the Sangh Parivar organisations.

Addressing presspersons here on Wednesday, State general secretary of the party G.K.C. Reddy said that the BJP cannot let these organisation have a free run. Mr. Reddy alleged that the Bajrang Dal had attacked the churches based only on a rumour that forcible religious conversions were going.

He said that there were several legal options to stop religious conversions. Mr. Reddy said: “Let us not forget that it was the Christian minorities that have taken a number of steps to improve the lives of millions of people.”
