64 archers to be trained

New Delhi: Olympians Dola Banerjee and L. Bombayla Devi are part of the 64-member core group of archers who would be given state-of-the-art training and exposure at domestic and international level by the Government in preparation for the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Under the scheme for “Preparation of Indian Teams for Commonwealth Games 2010,” the Steering Committee has approved the names of 39 archers for the “Core Group” and has also identified three Indian and one foreign coach in consultations with the Archery Association of India (AAI). — PTI
