KEMT South India tournament from today

Coimbatore: The 16th Karunya Evangeline Memorial South India-level inter-Collegiate tournament begins at the Karunya University campus on September 24.

The four-day tournament, organised in memory of Evangeline, daughter of Late Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran, founder of the University, has attracted top colleges and universities from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

The tournament features football (for men), volleyball, kabaddi and basketball for both men and women. All the matches barring football will be played under lights.

T.P.M. Mohideen Khan, Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare and Environment, Government of Tamil Nadu, will inaugurate, in the presence of Dr. Paul Dhinakaran, Founder and Chancellor of Karunya University, at 4.30 p.m.
