Rynold takes honours

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rynold Timothy won the men’s singles title in the 23rd G.V. Raja memorial all-Kerala tennis tournament at the TTC courts on Tuesday. In the final, Rynold defeated Binu Mani 6-4, 6-4.

Sneha Susan Thomas won a double in the girls’ section. Sneha won the singles titles in the under-14 and under-18 categories.

The results (finals)

Men’s singles: Rynold Timothy bt Binu Mani 6-4, 6-4. Doubles: M.S. Krishnakumar & Raj Mohan Pillai bt Rynold Timothy & Nileesh Dinanath 7-5, 6-1.

Boys: Under-18: J.S. Arun Raj bt Prithish Kishore Kumar 6-1, 6-1. Doubles: G.L. Vivek & Sivakumar bt Prithish Kishore Kumar & R. Adavith 6-3, 6-1

Under-16: J.S. Arun Raj bt H. Suraj 4-6, 7-6, 6-2.

Under-14: Varun Nair bt Revanth Kishore Kumar 9-8.

Girls: Under-18: Sneha Susan Thomas bt Bhavya 6-2, 6-1.

Under-16: Bhavya bt Anjali Jaindhan 2-6, 7-6, 7-5.

Under-14: Sneha Susan Thomas bt A.V. Rithika 9-0.
