Ration rice seized

PUDUKOTTAI: In a surprise raid at Kamarajarpuram in the town on Sunday, officials of the Special Cell of the Revenue Department seized 29 bags of ration rice about to be smuggled to an unknown destination.

The seizure, effected under the supervision of the District Supply Officer R. Kalaichelvi Mohan and the Personal Assistant to the District Supply Officer P. Veerapandian, followed a vital tip-off about the hoarding of the ration rice at a residence at Kamarajapuram, according to officials.
