Two killed in freak accident

TIRUCHI: S. Kalaivanan (21) of Iyyappanallur and P. Saravanan (25) of Alathurayanpatti died and another sustained injuries after they reportedly jumped out of a moving bus between Kottapalayam and B. Mettur near Thuraiyur on Sunday. The injured V. Bhaskar (24) of Balakrishnanpatti was undergoing treatment at the Government Hospital. They were employed in private spinning mill at Perumalpatti.

Police said they had consumed alcohol and were travelling in a private bus bound for B. Mettur from Thuraiyur. Midway, they jumped out of the moving bus and the vehicle driverproceeded unaware of the episode. Bhaskar who too sustained injuries in the incident halted the bus belonging to the private spinning mill, where the trio were employed, that was passing by at that time. Kalaivanan and Saravanan died while being taken to the Thuraiyur Government Hospital. The police have registered a case.
