IOA to look for another candidate

New Delhi: The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) General Secretary, Randhir Singh, on Monday said the ad hoc committee would look for another candidate to coach the men’s hockey team.

Downplaying the appointment of Kaushik as the coach of men’s team, Randhir said for them both men’s and women’s team were important and were part of the same Olympic family.

“For us, men’s and women’s hockey is part of the same Olympic family. They are our two wings,” Randhir said.

“We would like to win Olympic gold medals in both the disciplines. We would definitely not like to go against their (women’s) interest,” he added. — PTI
