20 injured in bus–lorry smash

TIRUNELVELI: Twenty persons were injured in a collision between a bus and lorry near here on Saturday.

The police said that the bus bound for Tirunelveli from Radhapuram rammed a lorry at Nanguneri in which 20 passengers were injured.

In another accident, G. Kannan (38) of Kuppanapuram under Maanur police station limits sustained head injuries as he lost control over the two-wheeler he was riding.

He succumbed to injuries at a private hospital here.
