DMK candidates win

DMK candidates N. Krishnan and P. Natarajan have won the posts of Chennai Corporation councillors for ward 18 (Royapuram) and ward 44 (Perumal Koil Garden) respectively. By-elections for the post of councillors in the two wards were held on Thursday . N. Krishnan secured 3,712 votes while AIADMK contestant E. Sekhar got 1,553 votes in ward 18. P. Natarajan won 3,049 votes while AIADMK contestant R. Prathap Kumar secured 1,261 votes in ward 44.
