NEW DELHI: Boys Sports Company, Bangalore, drew 1-1 with Sports Authority of India, Kolkata, in the last pre-quarterfinal league match of the junior section in the Subroto Cup football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Saturday. For Army Boys, K.H. Tej Kumar Singh scored the goal in the 52nd minute and Ranjan Mistry equalised two minutes later. Both the teams qualified for the quarterfinals. Mizoram, NCC, Assam, Delhi, Orissa and Chandigarh were the other teams to make the grade. In the sub-junior section, Army Boys, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Bangladesh, Nagaland, Sikkim, Jharkhand and Mizoram qualified for the quarterfinals. Modern School, Kohima, was given a walk-over in the last pre-quarterfinal league match of the sub-junior section, as Government Senior Secondary School, Neemriwali, failed to report for the match.
