Kodungallur: Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has said the State police is fully geared to tackle any extremist or terrorist threat. He was addressing a meeting to inaugurate the Circle Inspector’s Office here on Saturday. “Police should use all its force to suppress forces that pose threat to people’s lives and property. Communal clashes will seriously affect the State’s development. They should be averted at any cost. Kodungallur should not witness violence like that in the recent past. The public and political parties should earnestly strive to achieve this. The State Government will effectively intervene in this regard,” he said. The Home Minister also inaugurated 12 police quarters. Revenue Minister K. P. Rajendran said that land acquisition for coastal police stations would be completed soon.
