3 lorries detained; 3 held

NAMAKKAL: A team of officials detained three lorries which were found operating using kerosene meant for supply under the public distribution system (PDS) and arrested three persons in this connection here on Friday.

They also seized 400 litres of kerosene kept in the vehicles.

Food cell personnel arrested lorry drivers Chinnathambi (30), Subramani (32) and Sundaramurthi (23).

Further investigation is on, officials said.
