Additional coaches in trains for festivals

New Delhi: Northern Railway has decided to add additional coaches in important trains going to eastern India in view of Durga Puja, Chhat Puja and Diwali festivals after it announced earlier this week the introduction of about 376 special trains for the festive season.

Additional coaches would be attached to New Delhi Howrah Rajdhani Express, Sealdah-Delhi Junction West Bengal Sampark Kranti Express, Howrah-Jammu Tawi Express, Howrah-Varanasi Express, Howrah-Dehradun Doon Express and Kolkata-Jammu Tawi Express.

The coaches will be added beginning the last week of September till the end of October.

Additional coaches will also be added in view of the Chhat Puja celebration in Malda Town-Delhi Junction Farakka Express and Howrah-Kathgodam Express. Additional coaches in these trains will be attached from November 3 to 12. — PTI
