Need of the hour is commitment: Pandey

KOZHIKODE: There should be more commitment to sport from all quarters, according to the Kerala Sports Commission chairman A.K. Pandey.

Speaking at a sitting of the Commission here on Thursday, he also stressed on the principle of catching athletes young.

Former athlete Shiny Wilson said that fewer talents were coming up at present despite more facilities, compared to the earlier times.

The Kerala Sports Council president T.P. Dasan called for better coaches.

The commission, set up the State Government, to draft a new sports policy, took note of opinions from a cross section of people associated with sport. — Sports Reporter
