Rajasthan has big plans for Delhi trade fair

Special Correspondent

JAIPUR: The Rajasthan pavilion to be set up at the 28th India International Trade Fair being held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi from November 14 to 27 this year will exhibit a combination of the State’s rich heritage and modern trends. The pavilion will be devoted to the IITF theme of “infrastructure and women’s empowerment.”

The Rajasthan Small-scale Industries Corporation, the nodal agency for the fair, has started preparations for establishing the pavilion and setting up the exhibition area. Its Managing Director, Shreya Guha, said here on Thursday that the pavilion would showcase a wide range of products apart from models, photographs, charts and scripts to explain the journey of Rajasthan from a desert State to a modern destination for investment, infrastructure and tourism.

The pavilion will be decorated in keeping with the IITF theme and lay special emphasis on showing the creation and the development of infrastructure as well as the steps taken for women’s progress and empowerment.

A business information centre for replying to inquiries will also be established.
