Bodies may arrive in 3 days

NEW DELHI: Congress MP V. Hanumantha Rao has hoped that the bodies of students-cousins – T. Vikram Reddy and T. Soumya Reddy – from Hyderabad, which were found under mysterious circumstances in Chicago in USA a few days ago, would reach India in two or three days after completion of formalities by the police.

He told The Hindu that he had taken up the issue with External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee and told him to convey to the US police authorities to order a thorough probe into the incident. He also spoke to Foreign Secretary Shiv Shankar Menon and apprised him on the need to take urgent steps to bring the bodies to India at the earliest so that the last rites could be performed by their family members.
