Raja, Dhivya emerge fastest

Coimbatore: S. Raja of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College and S. Dhivya of PSG College of Technology clinched the 100m gold for men and women respectively in the Anna University Zone-7 athletic meet here on Tuesday.

Sivakumar advances

B. Sivakumar of PSG College of Arts and Science defeated Israth of Jamal Mohammed College (Tiruchi) 30-19 in a third round men’s match (played on a best of one game with 30 points rally system up to quarterfinals) in the inter-collegiate badminton tournament on Tuesday.

Selection trials

The Coimbatore District Volleyball Association will conduct selection trials for the District team for the sub-junior inter-district championship at the Nehru Stadium courts on September 21 at 7.30 a.m.
