SIHMA to conduct seminar tomorrow

Tirupur: South India Hosiery Manufacturers Association (SIHMA) will conduct a seminar here on September 18 to disseminate salient features of the National Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme (NMCP) to textile enterprises.

Mohan P. Kandasamy, president, SIHMA, told reporters that the NMCP was formulated by the Centre to make the small and medium scale textile units competitive in the post quota regime.

The programme would ensure growth of small scale segment at a healthy rate, which was crucial for the overall development of manufacturing sector and market economy.

Details

A team of resource persons under R. Paneerselvam, Deputy Director, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Institute, Chennai, would elaborate the market assistance and technology upgrading activities chalked out under NMCP.
