YSR commends police for incident-free festivities
HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy commended the city police for the peaceful conclusion of Ganesh Nimajjan ceremony for the last few days, and on Sunday in particular.
In a special message here on Sunday, Dr. Reddy congratulated the Director General of Police S.S.P. Yadav, Hyderabad Commissioner B. Prasada Rao, Cyberabad Commissioner S. Prabhakar Reddy and the District Collectors of Hyderabad and Rangareddy, Navin Mittal and Dana Kishore respectively.
People thanked
He also appreciated the efforts of the senior officials and staff of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation in this regard. The Chief Minister thanked the people for their cooperation in the peaceful conduct of the festivities and congratulated the Ganesh Utsav Committee and other associations for orderly behaviour and proper coordination. He said that in spite of the apprehensions raised in some quarters after the recent blasts in Delhi, credit goes to the police who took care in preventing any untoward incidents.
