HYDERABAD: Armed with a 100-page booklet, the Congress Legislature Party is all geared up to expose the Telugu Desam Party and the Telangana Rashtra Samiti, when the no confidence motion against Speaker K. R. Suresh Reddy comes up for discussion on Monday. Congress Ministers and legislators worked overtime on Sunday to chalk out last minute strategy to target the TDP and the TRS inside the House. Minister’s Konathala Ramakrishna, Dharmana Prasada Rao, Anam Ramnarayan Reddy, Mohd. Ali Shabbir and M. Mukesh besides Chief Whip N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and legislators, Mallu Ravi, Gade Venkat Reddy and Vatti Vasant Kumar were closeted in the CLP office on Sunday to dwell on how to corner the TDP. CLP sources said 15 Ministers and MLAs had been sounded to speak during the debate. “We will not hesitate to refer to the role of the then Speaker Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, when Chief Minister N. T. Rama Rao was denied a chance to speak after he was dethroned by N. Chandrababu Naidu as the TDLP leader,” a Minister, who attended the meeting pointed out. According to TDP sources, the party had identified specific issues in which the Speaker had deviated from rules and procedures. At least half-a-dozen TDP MLAs would speak on the motion contending that the Chair had acted partially. “ We have concrete points. Government has played a major role in making him partial”, the sources added. Rebels to defy whipMeanwhile, the 10 rebel Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) MLAs have decided to defy the whip issued by the party and oppose the no confidence motion. The rebels, who met on Sunday in the wake of the whip given by TRS said they were not bound by the whip as they were ‘independent’ members.
