NEW DELHI: Government Kolasib High School (Project Veng, Mizoram) defeated The Air Force School (Subroto Park) 11-1 in the sub-juniors section of the Subroto Cup football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium, here on Saturday. Lalnunthara and Ramengmawia scored three goals each, while Lalrosanga slammed in two. The other scorers were V.L. Malsawmkima, Lalmungliana and Lalrawangbawla. For TAFS, Ricky reduced the margin. In another match of the same section, Army Boys (Lucknow) defeated Sports Authority of India (Kolkata) 5-0. For Army Boys, Pranay Rai led the scoring with three goals, while Raj Chettri and Lenin Angam netted a goal each. In a juniors match, Government Central Higher Secondary School (Mizoram) defeated Scottish Universities Mission Institution (Kalimpong, West Bengal) 3-0. The goals came through Joseph Lalnunpuia, R. Joseph and Malsawmtlunga. Government Model Senior Secondary School (Chandigarh) defeated St. John’s Secondary School (Meghalaya) 2-0 in another juniors match. The scorers for the winner were K.C. Lalchhanmawia and Sumit Passi.
