Youth killed in accident

TAMBARAM: A teenager was killed on the spot when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a van at Irumbuliyur on Grand Southern Trunk Road on Thursday night.

Police said R. Joshua Paul (18), a resident of West Tambaram, was going to a meet a relative in Guduvanchery. Around 8 p.m., his bike was hit by a speeding van, going towards Chengalpattu.

Joshua fell off his bike, came under the wheels of the vehicle and died.

The Tambaram traffic police are investigating.
