NEW DELHI: Namchi Sports Hostel, Sikkim, defeated Air Force Bal Bharti 9-0 in the sub-juniors section of the Subroto Cup football tournament here on Friday. Rechard Lepcha scored three goals for the Sikkim team along with Dilliram Sashai (2), Karma Singh, Yuana Hand, Novin Gurung and Ronald Lepcha. In another match of the same section, MP Sports College, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, defeated St. John’s High School, Chandigarh 4-0. Shashank Rawat scored three goals and Amit Kumar one. In a juniors match, M.S.P. Malappuram, Kerala, defeated Oriental Academy, Manipur 9-1. Harsheed, four goals, led the scoring for the winner with others goals from P.P. Danish (2), Asif (2) and Mohammed Safwan. For the loser, the scorer was K. Augustine. Army Boys, Bangalore defeated Govt. Senior Secondary School, Neemriwali, Haryana 9-0 in a juniors match. For Army Boys, T. Jacky Chand Singh (2), E. Kipgen (2), Y. Bobo Singh (2), MR Joshi, Dukhiram Tudu and U. Karunakaran were the scorers.
