Trade fairs in China, Egypt

Tirupur: The Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), under Union Ministry of Textiles, will take a delegation of readymade garment exporters for the trade fairs to be held in China and Egypt in November and in Chile and Peru in March next year.
Charge
Official sources said that the participation charges would be Rs. 1.10 lakh for setting up a 9 sq m stall in Jinhan fair (China), Rs. 1.6 lakh for a stall of 9 sq m in Egytex fair (Cairo in Egypt), and Rs. 1.75 lakh for a stall of 12 sq m in Chile and Peru fairs.
For taking part in the fairs, the participants could obtain Market Development Assistance grants extended by the Union Ministry of Commerce to encourage exporters to develop overseas markets.
Scheduled dates
Sources said that the Jinhan fair would be held from November 2 to November 6, while the three-day Egytex fair would commence on November 16. “This is for the first time, AEPC will be taking part in Egytex fair meant for manufacturers of apparel, home textiles, fibres, yarns and fabrics,” sources added.
The dates of fairs scheduled in Chile and Peru were yet to be announced.
