Hat-trick by Manikandan

CHENNAI: Manikandan’s hat-trick was the highlight of Sathyabama’s 3-0 win over Sir Theyagaraya College on the opening day of the league phase of the CFA-Nagalingam Nadar Memorial inter-Collegiate football tournament.

In another match, Loyola defeated Jeppiar EC 2-0. Freddy scored both the goals.

Earlier in the knock-out phase, Loyola, Jeppiar, Hindustan University, Sathyabama, Pachaiyappas, SRM, St. Joseph CE and Theagaraya College qualified.
