Health camp begins

CHENNAI: The Chennai Corporation is organising health camps for its workforce, including officials.

Mayor M. Subramanian inaugurated the camp series at the Diagnostic Centre on Kodambakkam High Road on Wednesday.

A thorough health check-up comprising ECG, scan, ENT and eye testing and blood testing would be conducted. The civic body would be organising such camps at eight corporation medical centres in the city, including the Communicable Diseases Hospital, for its workforce totalling 25,000, which includes 8,000 officials and 17,000 workers.

Commissioner Rajesh Lakhoni and Deputy Mayor R. Sathyabhama participated in the camp on Wednesday.
