Egypt-India Tests in Vizag

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Indian youth volleyball team will play four Tests against the Egyptian team here from September 18 to 21.

The Egyptian team has been invited to provide some exposure to the Indian team, which will be participating in the Asian youth championship to be held in Sri Lanka in October.

The Indian team selection is in the final phase at the Port indoor stadium here and will be announced in a few days, president of District Volleyball Association S. Kodandaramaiah said at a press conference here on Wednesday.

The India-Egypt Tests would be played at the Port indoor stadium on September 18, Swarna Bharati indoor stadium on September 19, GITAM University’s Kodi Ramamurthy indoor stadium on September 20 and at Port stadium on September 21.

All matches would be played on the Taraflex courts, secretary of DVA P.G.V.R. Naidu said. — Special Correspondent
