Yadav, Subha shine

BANGALORE: Amit Yadav of Al-Ameen College and B.B. Subha of Seshadripuram College, Kengeri, won the men’s and women’s high hurdles in the Bangalore University inter-collegiate athletic championship on Wednesday.

Yadav clocked 15.4 seconds in the men’s 110 m hurdles, while Subha won the 100m hurdles for women in 17.4 seconds.

The results (winners only):

Men’s 400m: Jayaprakash C. Shetty (SBMJC, 48.6s). 110m hurdles: Amit Yadav (Al-Ameen, 15.4s). 10,000m: M. Basavaraj (BNES, 32:38.5s). 1500m: Iftikar Ahmed (Al-Ameen, 4:04.6s).

Women’s 100m hurdles: B.B. Shba (Seshadripuram College, Kengeri, 174.s). 400m: Shwetha Sagar (Al-Ameen, 59.4s). 10,000m: N. Prabhavathi (GFGC, Kolar 49:31.65s). 4x400m relay: SMBJC 5:11.8s. Hammer throw: Sahaya Mary (BEL College, 14.07m . Shot put: S. Sheetal Kumar (SBMJC, 12.14 m). Long jump: Arshad (Al-Ameen, 6.72m).
