‘Seek CJ’s nod for Bench’
Thiruvananthapuram: District Congress Committee (DCC) president V.S. Sivakumar said here on Wednesday that the State government should now try to seek the permission of the Chief Justice in setting up a High Court Bench in the capital city.
In a statement released here on Wednesday, he said that the government should discuss the matter with the Chief Justice and submit recommendations to the Union government in the light of this discussion.
Meanwhile, the stir for the Bench entered its 208th day on Wednesday. Advocate Manacaud Suresh, advocate clerk R. Sabu and FRAT representative Kumar took part in the relay hunger strike on Wednesday.
