BJP plea to poll officials

HYDERABAD: The BJP has requested the State election authorities to consider the existing electoral rolls as basis for conducting by-elections to fill a vacancy of the Legislative Council from Karimnagar-Adilabad-Nizamabad- Medak Graduates’ constituency.

The party has also sought time extension for enrolment of voters, which is to close on September 12, up to month-end. State BJP president B. Dattatreya submitted a memorandum to Chief Electoral Officer I. V. Subba Rao at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
