Telangana: Congress seniors await alliances

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Congress leader Palvai Goverdhan Reddy has said that the party seniors were awaiting the possible alliance of various opposition parties before chalking out a strategy to pressure the high command on Telangana statehood. “In the given political scenario, it is better for us to wait and see the political alliances shape up in the coming months. We will chalk out our own strategy on Telangana accordingly,” Mr. Goverdhan Reddy said in an informal chat with reporters here on Wednesday.

The MLC said TRS president K. Chandrasekhara Rao had mishandled the statehood issue.
