BSES bags major awards

NEW DELHI: Power distribution company BSES has won two internationally recognised awards for its services. The company has been awarded the CIO 100 Award, for innovative use of IT for the second consecutive year for its Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) project.

The second award is the AMD Athlon’s SMART Infrastructure Award for its Project BUN (BSES’ Unified Network). Project BUN was conceptualised and implemented to automate and seamlessly connect hundreds of BSES offices spread across 950 sq. kms.

Both the awards were presented to BSES at a ceremony organised by the International Data Group (IDG) this past week at Jaipur.
