NEW DELHI: Three men sustained injuries when the Honda City car they were travelling in hit a road divider and overturned on Vikas Marg in the Capital’s trans-Yamuna area on Tuesday. The mishap resulted in a massive traffic jam on Vikas Marg.

Chartered accountant D.P. Gupta and his employees Manoj and Yogesh were going towards Shakarpur from ITO around 4 p.m. when he allegedly lost control and rammed the vehicle into the divider. The vehicle dragged some distance damaging the divider and then overturned before coming to a halt.

Manoj sustained injuries and was rushed to the nearby Deepak Memorial Hospital where he was stated to be out of danger. Mr. Gupta and Yogesh escaped with minor bruises.

The police said Mr. Gupta runs a chartered accountancy firm in Laxmi Nagar. A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered against him at the Shakarpur police station.

The police were also contemplating action against him for damaging public property.
