NEW DELHI: Seven persons have been arrested for alleged involvement in over 30 cases of burglary. Police claim to have recovered stolen goods, including jewellery, worth Rs.4 lakh.

Acting on a tip-off, the police laid a trap near a Vikaspuri godown on Monday afternoon and arrested gang leader Vinod Thapa and his six accomplices.

During interrogation, the accused purportedly confessed to having committed burglaries at Paschim Vihar, Vikaspuri, Janakpuri, Rajouri Garden, Rohini and Prashant Vihar.

The police said on Tuesday that raids were being conducted to arrest their accomplices and receivers.
