Derek Prince shines

HYDERABAD: Danny Derek Prince, who took three for 16 and then hit an unbeaten 59, helped MVSR Engineering College record an eight-wicket win over Nizam College in the M.N. Abbasi Trophy inter-colleges cricket tournament here.

M.N. Abbasi Trophy: Bhavan`s New Science Degree College 67 (Ritesh four for four) lost to Badruka 68 for no loss (Revanth Sai 61 not out).

RGR Siddhanti College 128 (Salam 44) lost to Amjad Ali Khan College 132 for five (Md. Asif 55 not out).

Nizam College 120 lost to MVSR Engg College 123 for two (Danny Derek Prince 59 not out, Prithvi 53 not out).

PG College 86 lost to Aurora College 88 for two.

A-Division (two-day): PKCC 118 (M. A. Qayyum seven for 32) lost to Brothers XI 120 for seven (Gangashyam four for 46).

A-Division (one-day): Youth CC 188 for nine (Salam Bin Yusuf 53) bt Cheerful Chums 112 (Swamy 40, Kiran Yadav five for 17).

HBCC 148 (Amith Singh four for 40) bt Lal Bahadur 89 (Kasi Reddy five for 12).

Ameerpet 33 (Ibrahim Baig four for nine) lost to Young Masters 34 for one.

Sultan Sahi 244 (Sunil Singh 122, Siddhartha six for 30) bt Cambridge XI 151.

Ekalavya 79 (Aditya 42, Ravi five for 32) bt Southend Raymonds 63 (A. Ajay Krishna four for 26, Dhanaji Rao Shinde five for 14).

C-Division: Starlets 280 (Yaseen 102, Jaipal 106, Tilak four for 40) lost to Chums XI 283 for nine (Sikandar 51, Akash 80 not out, Surya five for 45, Yaseen four for 47).
