President congratulates Zardari

NEW DELHI: President Pratibha Patil has congratulated the new President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday. In her message , the President said Mr. Zardari’s election symbolised the durability and strength of the democratic forces in Pakistan. Though Pakistan faced immense challenges, India was committed to working closely with him to improve bilateral relations, she added.
