MYSORE: Police Commissioner S. Parashivamurthy has favoured the introduction of pay-and-park system in parts of the city. During an interaction with journalists recently, Mr. Parashivamurthy said that the introduction of the system was a solution to prevent shop keepers from parking their vehicles in front of their shops at prominent localities in the city. Mr. Parashivamurthy said that a similar situation had existed in Bangalore till the pay-and-park system was introduced. “If the system is the immediate solution, construction of parking zones is a long-term remedy to address parking problems,” he said.
