PM, Sonia hailed for NSG waiver

NEW DELHI: Congratulating Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi on securing waiver of the Nuclear Suppliers Group to sanctions on India pertaining to nuclear trade, the Delhi Cabinet has termed the development a breakthrough that would put the Indo-US nuclear deal on the fast track. Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said the NSG approval was a major step in ending India’s nuclear isolation and commended Dr. Singh and Ms. Gandhi for their acumen and foresight.
