Ashwin (three for 70) combined to help TNCA XI dismiss Gujarat for 237 on the first day of a third-round Buchi Babu tournament encounter here. Karnataka off-spinner N. Ryan returned figures of six for 51 from 20.3 overs as Tripura was bowled out for 168. Karnataka lost three wickets in reply, including that of Test batsman Rahul Dravid (2). Maitrik Shah (121 not out, 171b, 13x4, 1x6) and Ketan Panchal (62, 129b, 7x4) added 142 runs for the sixth wicket to rescue Baroda. Krishna Das claimed six wickets for Assam.
