TIRUCHI: K. Thirumurugan and M. Santhiya emerged individual champions in the under-19 boys’ and girls’ sections respectively at the 49th Southern Railway inter-Schools’ athletic meet here recently.

The results (all winners): Boys: U-19: 200m: K. Thirumurugan (TM/ GOC); Long jump: J. Raja (Madurai); High jump: J. Raja; Shot put: K. Thirumurugan; Javelin: K. Thirumurugan. Individual champion: K. Thirumurugan.

U-17: 100m: Philemon Aaron Wills (Perambur); 200m: B.V. Brahma (Perambur); 800m: Sasikumar (Erode); 4x100m relay: Perambur; High jump: G. Bharath (Perambur); Javelin: M. Dinesh Raj (Arakonam); Shot put: S. Prabhakaran (Jolarpet). Individual champion: B.V. Brahma.

U-14: 100m: L. Manoj (EM/ GOC); 200m: L. Manoj; Long jump: L. Manoj; Shot put: L. Manoj. Individual champion: L. Manoj.
