JAC plea for pensions

HYDERABAD: A 25-member delegation of the JAC for the Disabled on Sunday called on Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy to impress upon the need for government to conceded 13 demands, including payment of pensions.

G. Satyanarayana Reddy, president, said in a statement that the delegation pressed for payment of pensions of Rs. 500-700, depending on percentage of disability, before October 2. If the Government failed to meet the demand, he would launch an indefinite hunger strike.
