Special team looks for clues

CHENNAI: A special police team searched Saravana Stores on Ranganathan Street on Sunday for clues on the whereabouts of its two owners, who are wanted in connection with the fire on September 1.

According to M.S. Mutusamy, Deputy Commissioner of Police (T.Nagar), the team headed by an Assistant Commissioner, inspected the shop on Sunday morning and questioned a few employees.

He denied reports that the police had forcibly closed down the shop.
