Teams have been constituted and a watch is kept on places he is likely to visit VISAKHAPATNAM: Police are making efforts to trace GVMC employee Rajeswara Rao against whom cases under SC/ST Atrocities (Prevention) Act and Section 376 of the IPC were booked after his 14-year-old domestic help filed a complaint against him accusing him as responsible for pregnancy. Teams have been constituted for the purpose and a watch kept on places he is likely to visit, according to Circle Inspector Ranga Raju. Police are confident of nabbing him soon. The GVMC has already placed Rajeswara Rao under suspension. DNA test demandedLeaders of All-India Democratic Women’s Association have demanded that a DNA test be conducted on the girl, the baby she delivered and Rajeswara Rao. Demanding his immediate arrest, they said protests would be stepped up if it was not done by Monday. Secretary of the district unit AIDWA B. Prabhavathi said said there was apprehension that efforts were on to dilute the case. It was nine days since the incident took place but the accused had not been arrested, it was pointed out. Copies of the representation were sent to State Mahila Commission and State Human Rights Commission.
